Every photographer likes to think they’re in total control of their photography, right? I’m no different, and when an image doesn’t match my expectations, I’m as disappointed as the next guy.
Very occasionally, though, my incompetence produces a result that might not be what I expected but that pleases me nonetheless. And so it was on 13 December 2024 when visiting Beverley Minster in Yorkshire, my shutter finger went AWOL and clicked without my instruction. The result is the image above. Intentional or not, I like it. So there.
